Shining in Darkness

Aug 20, 2013 I told the kids we will fight the battle the Lord’s way! Instead of dwelling on the troubles and woes of life, we are going to rejoice and bless someone today! So we prayed for that right person and God laid it on my heart to visit a patient of mine who lives a mile from where we live. But no one was home. So we made a detour and thought of visiting Kathy, our Pastor’s wife, but as I made the turn I didn’t realize I made the wrong turn. Dylan said: “Mom, this is where Ben lives whom Pastor Dan and I worked for this summer.” I replied, “Oh okay then this is the exact place where the Lord wants us to be.” We knocked and the kids sang for Ben. I was able to give him my testimony, about Leo, and God’s goodness in our lives. I asked him whether he wanted to receive Christ as his Lord and Savior. He agreed! Praise God! Heaven is rejoicing. Pictures below show the kids singing to Ben and a picture with Ben’s daughter. Joy filled our soul!

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — MATTHEW 5:14-16

From Ben’s house, we visited Dr. Mallella. The kids sang to the family and friends.
