E.G. Got Saved!
2 Sep
Aug 27. After two failed attempts of visiting my patient here in Caldwell two weeks ago, I recently heard that he passed away. I was extremely grieved, realizing that life is but a vapor, and that we should redeem the time. I cried out to God that I will have compassion like Jesus did when he saw the multitude and he will give me an opportunity to witness.
Well, two days later this happened:
A little history : I met EG two years ago in therapy. I shared with him the plan of salvation. When asked whether he wanted to get saved, He said “I’ll think about it” so I just left him with a tract. I found out that Marilyn Sprague, a friend from church, has been visiting him for years. So Marilyn and my family decided to visit EG again in the summer of 2012. The kids sang a few songs to him. He was again asked whether he wanted to get saved . He declined the second time around. We have been praying for his salvation since.
A year later, Aug 29, 2013 5PM. Following our visit at the Cliff’s, the Lord reminded me to visit E.G.
During the visit, the kids sang “I have been blessed”. I told him how Leo and I got saved 17 years ago and gave him a few Scriptures. He stated that he had learned a lot from being in that nursing home and that he was ready to receive Jesus in his heart!
This visit was unplanned. We were hungry and tired prior to seeing him. But boy, we forgot all that when we left the place! Praise the Lord!
Psalms 126:6
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
